Let me take a minute to describe to you the experience we had at the beautiful Pavão, at the Sweetfield Manor Boutique Hotel. We decided to visit there on a whim as we were near the area and I heard great reviews about their food. So we entered the tucked away historical beauty and were greeted by their lovely peacocks who definitely were at home there.
We were invited in by our lovely host and took a seat under the big, picturesque umbrellas. While we deliberated on what to order we snacked on some fresh, flavorful rolls with a dollop of butter which was light as air. After some thought we then decided to go with something light and nutritional.
I had their Market Cous Cous which was made of: Israeli cous cous, dried cranberries and apricots mixed with sautéed
fresh field vegetables, drizzled with pesto and finished off with toasted almonds and I ordered the chicken to go with this dish. This meal was well balanced between the sharp flavors of the salads and the well seasoned chicken. This meal was scrumptious and you just felt good eating it -royal even!
Delandro had the Greek Salad with fresh greens, cherry tomatoes, olives, cucumbers and sliced red onions with their lemon and herb dressing and finished with crumbled feta. He added chicken as well and described his meal as delicious and surprisingly fulling.
We also had some cocktails – a strawberry mint infusion that was just right and a yummy piña colada! Our waiter was amazing as he talked us through our food and drink options and made us feel at home, just like the peacocks! We are definitely going to return and this time it’s all about decadent indulgence baby!
